- Explain uncertainty clearly when exact tax-money tracing is not possible.
- Avoid partisan endorsements while supporting transparency, accountability, waste reduction, and civic participation.
How Content Is Updated
Calculator pages and source notes may be updated when better official data becomes available, when a model needs clarification, or when a reader identifies an error. Updates are intended to improve clarity, source quality, and usefulness.

If TaxGal displays advertising, advertising does not determine the calculator methodology, editorial conclusions, source preference, or correction decisions. Educational usefulness and source transparency come first.
